I like the Bonnie and Clyde idea. Team occasions are always more fun. One year my brother and I went as Mario and Luigi, and just this last year, a girlfriend of mine went as Lois Lane while I was Superman.
Also, I'm not really sure how I stumbled upon your blog, but I did enjoy what I read. Especially the thing about your - correct me if I'm wrong - gay boyfriend.
